Weather Overview: (Update: 8.2.19)

Rain chances remain elevated as “deep tropical moisture moves over the islands.”  The wet weather is moving over the eastern portion of the state today, and across the smaller islands tonight through Saturday.

The National Weather Service is also forecasting “gusty easterly winds” that will continue through Saturday as Tropical Storm Erick continues on a path south of the state.

Additional impacts include “large seas and surf” along affected coastlines.

Forecasters are also monitoring Tropical Storm Flossie, which continues its approach toward the island chain and could bring additional impacts to the islands.  The system is tracking along the northern edge of the islands early next week.
