97th Maui Fair Photo Salon Entries Now Being Accepted
Calling all shutterbugs eager to enter their most prized photos for the 97th Maui Fair Photo Salon Contest. Applications are now available online at www.MauiFair.com or www.MauiCameraClub.com, from Sept. 1 to noon on Sept. 23, 2019.
The competition is open to all Maui County residents and consists of three divisions: Student, Open and Expert. Only photos taken after Oct. 1, 2018 are eligible.
The contest has three categories:
- Monochrome/Black & White Prints
- Color Prints
- ‘Photo Art’
Divisions include:
- “Student” – Open to Maui County students, K-12, of any age.
- “Open” – Open to all amateur photographers who are residents of the State of Hawaiʻi.
- “Expert” – Open to Hawaiʻi professional photographers and recognized photo experts, including those who have won 1st place in any previous Maui Fair.
Enter online and save at MauiCameraClub.com. Entry forms and rules can also be found at www.MauiFair.com under the Attractions Tab. For those who are unable to enter online, paper entries will only be accepted on Sept. 28, 2019 at Hale Mahaolu Elima located at 11 Mahaolu Street in Kahului, from 9 a.m. to noon.
- The entry fee for the open and expert divisions is: $7 per photo / Online Registration Fee: $5 per photo
- The entry fee for students is: $4 per photo / Online Registration Fee: $2 per photo
Photo drop-off for entries paid online is: Sept. 21-27, 2019, at Picture It Framed, 230 Hāna Highway #8 (at Wākea), Kahului, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Or Sept. 28, 2019, at Hale Mahaolu Elima, 11 Mahaolu Street, Kahului, 9 a.m. to noon.
Photo pick-up after the fair is: Oct. 8-12, 2019, at Picture It Framed, 230 Hāna Highway #8 (at Wākea), Kahului (9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday to Friday; and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. NOTE: Pictures not picked up by the end of day on Oct. 12 may be auctioned off.
