The state Department of Transportation (DOT) announced the following work on Maui’s state highways this weekend. Motorists should note that these lane closures will affect traffic and may cause delays.

– Construction scheduled on Lahaina Bypass (Route 3000) in both directions at the Kai Hele Kū Street intersection on Friday, Sept. 20, through Friday, Sept. 27, for drainage work. No lanes are closed but an increase in activity will occur at the intersection and at driveways along Kai Hele Kū Street.

– In the Keʻanae area there will be a 24/7 lane closure on Hāna Highway (Route 36) in the northbound direction in the vicinity of Wailua Valley State Wayside Park (Mile Marker 19) continuing on Saturday, Sept. 21, through Friday, Sept. 27, involving soil nail installation work.

Lane closure schedules may change at any time without notice according to the DOT. All projects are weather permitting.
