Day two of the 97th Maui Fair gets underway tonight with gates opening at 5 p.m.

Entertainment tonight includes: Jordan Soon, Halemanu, Amy Hānaialiʻi, Homestead with Special Guest Bruddah Waltah and Nuff Sedd.

Maui Fair Director Sherri Grimes said entry at the paid gate was the same as last year, and she anticipates that with parade entries and pre-sale tickets, the first day attendance surpassed numbers seen in 2018.

Highlights so far have included the traditional fair rides and food booths as well as the Interactive Arena.  Grimes called the venue “amazing” saying it gives all the ability to participate.

“The Lego Logo Wall is wow!” Grimes said noting that Lego challenges begin on Saturday.

“The reviews on Entetainment have been incredible” and nice weather supported an overall successful opening night, according to grimes.

Fair organizers say total attendance over the course of the four-day event last year was 90,000 individuals. L
