Maui Crime Sept. 29- Oct. 5, 2019: Burglaries, Break-Ins, Thefts

Maui police responded to 11 burglaries, 10 vehicle thefts and 19 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period from Sept. 29 to Oct. 5, 2019.

Burglaries were down -45% from the week before when 20 incidents were reported over the seven day period. Vehicle thefts were up slightly (+11%) from the week before when 9 incidents occurred; and vehicle break-ins were up +19% from the week before when 16 incidents were reported.

Haʻikū: 

• Thursday, Oct. 3, 7:05 a.m.: 2900 Block of Hāna Highway, Haʻikū. Residential, forced entry.

Kāʻanapali:

• Sunday, Sept. 29, 12:13 p.m.: 2780 Kekaʻa Dr., Kāʻanapali at Royal Lahaina Resort. Non-residentail, unlawful entry.

Kahului: 

• Sunday, Sept. 29, 9:05 p.m.: 393 Lehuakona St., Kahului. Residential, forced entry.
