Anthony Silva

March 24, 1940 – November 11, 2019

Anthony “Tony” Joseph Silva, 79, of Pukalani was surrounded by loved ones and passed peacefully on Monday, Nov. 11, 2019 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born on March 24, 1940 in Wailuku to his late parents Antone Da Silva and Caroline Castro.

Tony is predeceased by his wife, Leila Silva (Doong); son, Arnold Silva; brother, Paul Dacanay and sister, Theresa Mae Texeira.

Anthony is survived by his daughters, Roxanne Silva and Lorraine (Kalei) Silva; siblings, Mary Lou Gorospe, Carol Lopez, James Silva, Kenneth Dacanay, Vincent Dacanay; grandchildren, Sanoe, Akoni, Jordyn-Lee, Mandi-Lei; great grandchildren, Lokana-Marie, Zaiyana-Marie, Chevis-Zane, Kale.

Tony was a hard worker and was an expert in many different skills. One of his first jobs was working in the Pioneer Mill as a Field Work then worked at the Maui Eldorado in the Maintenance Department, Grayline Bus Tours and National/Alamo Car Rental as a Wash Crew Supervisor. He also worked as a Pest Control Technician at Terminix. He loved working for Grand Waikapu Golf Course (King Kamehameha Golf Course) as a Machine Operator until he retired.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019 at Ballard’s Family Mortuary in Kahului. Service will begin at 10:30 a.m. lunch will be provided after service at Ballard’s. Burial to follow at 1 p.m. at Makawao Cemetery.

February 10, 1955 – November 21, 2019

Alexander Norman Hufalar 64 of Maui peacefully passed on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019 at 3:33 p.m. He was born in Lahaina, Maui on February 10th, 1955 at 7:24 a.m.

Alex as he was known to his family and friends shared his “Always Good” spirit with everyone that was honored to know him.

He will continue to shine in the hearts of his loving children, Jason Hufalar (Sachi), Gina Lidstone (Kinau), Jasmine Deponte (Doug); grandchildren, Kyle Nakamoto (Raquel), Kiana, Keola, & Haili Lidstone, Makani & Liloa Deponte; great grandchildren, Kylie, Rylee, & Kiyoki Nakamoto; mother, Rosita Smith; sisters, Estrelita Maturo (Marc), Leticia Moody (Randy); and cherished aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Alex certainly was loved by many!

Please join us to celebrate Alex catching the rare Unicorn Meteor Shower home to the Lord and honor him by wearing his favorite color red.

Services will be held on Sunday Dec. 8, 2019 at Norman’s Mortuary in Wailuku, Maui. Family will be at 10:00 a.m., Friends will be at 11:00 a.m., and Service will start at 12 p.m., Lunch to Follow at 1 p.m.

Leis preferred, the immediate family will include them to ride the waves with his ashes.

April 10, 1949 – November 23, 2019

Jorge Acob Daguio, 70, of Kahului, passed away on Nov. 23, 2019 at Straub Medical Center in Honolulu. He was born in the Philippines on April 10, 1949.

Visitation from 6:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec.13, 2019 at Christ the King Church, service 7 p.m.
Visitation again at Christ the King Church on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019 at 9:30 a.m.; Mass 11 a.m. and burial 12:30 p.m. at Valley Isle Memorial Park in Haiku.

Jorge worked as a laborer for Monsanto Maui.

He is survived by his wife, Ofelia Daguio; children, Janette (Gil) Ramiscal, Leilani Eileen (Denver) Daguio, Xzor Jay (Karen) Daguio, Randolf (Glaisa) Daguio, Faina (Danny) Borje, and Zedrik Daguio; siblings, Rufina Daguio, Edison Daguio, Gil Daguio, and Pedro Daguio Jr.; 7 grandchildren, Brandon James, Caitlin, Ruzzel, Xyrell, Alexander, Amethyst Heart, and Ezekiel.

Eulalia “Lala” Enfield

February 6, 1937 – November 23, 2019

Eulalia “Lala” Enfield, 82, of Kahului, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019. She was born on Feb. 6, 1937 in Puʻukoliʻi, Maui. She is predeceased by her parents Marcelo
Cabalo and Juana Butad; sister Marie Alboro; brothers Teophilo Cabalo, Alfred Garcia Sr., and Jaime Cabalo Sr.; daughter Lara Enfield and son Ricky Asuncion.

Lala is survived by sons Garek Eligado (Sheila), Larry Enfield (Cilla), Lance Enfield (Tiana); daughters Lena Enfield-Ayonayon (Jay) and Lynn Paranada (Matthew Sr.); grandchildren Hayven Enfield-Ayonayon, Summer Enfield-Carlos (Alex), Jay-le Ferreira (Jeremy), Keenan Enfield, Leilani Horton, Kaleo Enfield-Ayonayon (Cristina), Nalani Holodynski (Ryan), Vernon Enfield-Ayonayon (Geraldine), Kayla Sanches (Ricky Jr.), Kathleen Costales (Hansel), Kristen Eligado (Alvin), Keahi Flores-Enfield, Matthew Paranada Jr. (Ruby), Koa Paranada, Keʻilani Paranada, Tia Enfield, and Layla Enfield; and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019 at Ballard’s Family Mortuary in Kahului from 9 a.m. Prayer service over urn will begin at 11 a.m. The family requests casual attire; loose flowers or lei only.
