Piltz, Mancini Candidates for Maui Native Hawaiian Chamber Board
The Maui Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce will be meeting tomorrow, June 14, at the Maui Tropic Plantation to elect new board members, and preview the upcoming 5th Annual Business Fest and Awards ceremony to be held in September 2011.
Candidates for board of directors include Randy Piltz and Paul Mancini. Randy Piltz, former candidate for mayor of Maui County, is currently serving as executive assistant to Mayor Alan Arakawa and has a background serving as State of Hawaii Land Use Commissioner and County of Maui Planning Commissioner. Paul Mancini is an attorney with Mancini, Geiger, and Welch here on Maui, and has also worked as corporation counsel under Mayor Carvalho and Tavares from 1976 to 1980.
The MNHCC will hold its 5th Annual Business Fest, Hui Holomua, and the 3rd Annual Ko’i Awards on Friday, September 2, 2011. The event commences with the ceremonial arrival of canoes highlighted by cultural protocol. Participants will spend the day discussing issues of importance and significance to the Hawaiian business community. The Ko’i Award dinner recognizes leaders who have contributed to the well-being of the Native Hawaiian community.
