Maui Health rings in the holidays with an Open House featuring music, crafts, cookies, Santa and keiki–happening tonight, Monday, Dec. 16 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Maui Memorial Medical Center.

“We invite our island community to join us in celebrating our second year as Maui Health,” said Michael Rembis, CEO of Maui Health System, “and on Dec. 16, we welcome you for another reason. Come and get to know your hospital and those that serve our community.”

The open house island-style event also features a 15-foot holiday tree in the lobby atrium, entertainment with Punana Leo o Maui preschool, refreshments and keiki crafts. Valet parking is complimentary at the hospital entrance.

“Holiday traditions, care and comfort are the cornerstones of the award-winning Maui Memorial Medical Center, and a number of departments have adopted holiday ‘ohana through Maui Family Support Services,” according to an event announcement. Employees will meet with these families throughout the month to distribute gifts in the lobby and offer aloha to their families.

“It’s a touching tradition started by our Obstetrics nursing department last year, and we want to continue to reach out and touch the hearts of people and families in our community that may not receive a holiday gift otherwise,” said Rembis.

Maui Memorial Medical Center is located at 221 Mahalani Street in Wailuku.
