An interfaith service will be held on Monday to honor Martin Luther King Jr. and his efforts to achieve social justice.

The 8th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Interfaith Service will feature a guest presentation from Joseph Tomas McKellar, an expert on grassroots organizing and structural change.

This year’s theme is “Overcoming Fear, Uniting in Love.” Organizers say the event will “provide an opportunity for us to suspend our differences, join together, and become the change needed for a better Maui.”
