Maui Quest Members at Kaiser Permanente Face Uncertainty Amid New AlohaCare Contract

Kaiser Permanente QUEST members on Maui face uncertainty amid news of a contract that is not inclusive of all islands, Maui Now has learned.

“While we are pleased that AlohaCare can continue to support QUEST members on Oʻahu, we are disappointed that AlohaCare was not selected for an all-island contract,” said Laura M. Lott, Director of Communications & Public Relations for Kaiser Permanente.

In an email communication, Lott ensured that under its current affiliation, Kaiser Permanente’s existing 20,000 Oʻahu QUEST members will have the opportunity to keep their current care and personal physician.

“We are currently working with AlohaCare and other community stakeholders to determine how all Kaiser Permanente QUEST members on Maui can continue to receive care from Kaiser Permanente,” Lott said.
