Go Green, a monthly pop up recycling event in Lahaina, has been canceled for March to “safeguard the health of our community in light of COVID-19,” event organizers announced today.

This monthʻs event was slated for March 21.

Go Green is hosted by Mālama Maui Nui in partnership with the Rotary Club of Lāhaina Sunset and 5A Rent-A-Space and held at the Lahaina Cannery Mall parking lot.

“We ask that the community remain pono in our actions and refrain from any illegal dumping. Check the Maui County website for recycling and landfill disposal guidelines before loading up your truck,” a press release from organizers read.

Go Green allows residents to dispose of the following recyclables at no charge:

  • Air Conditioners
  • Batteries (lead acid auto only)
  • Bicycles
  • Computers
  • Dishwashers
  • Dryers
  • Microwaves
  • Printers
  • Refrigerators
  • Scrap Metal
  • Stoves
  • Televisions
  • Tires ($10 donation per tire)
  • Washing Machines
  • Water Heaters
