Schofield Soldier Killed in Combat in Afghanistan

A soldier serving with a unit out of Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, was killed in combat this week.  Pfc. Joshua L. Jetton, 21, of Seibring, Florida, died June 20 in the Kunar Province of Afghanistan.

According to the Department of Defense, Jetton died of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit with small arms fire.

He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, out of Schofield Barracks in Hawaii.
