Maui Mayor Michael Victorino provides an update on the latest information on COVID-19 as it relates to Maui County.

Haʻikū / Pāʻia Drive Through Food Distribution – Thursday, April 23

Drive through food distribution will be held on Thursday, April 23 for individuals in need in the Haʻikū/Pāʻia area.

An estimated 300 bags of food will be distributed at the event.

Start time is at 10 a.m. at the Old Maui High School located at 1000 Holomua Road.  Drivers must enter off of the Hāna Highway and exit onto Baldwin Avenue.

Maui Face Mask Fund

The Maui Face Mask Fund has made more than 2,000 medical grade face masks for front line healthcare  workers. Organizers with the project say they continue to receive requests daily from clinical staff at both county hospitals and health agencies for assistance.

Who Should Wear a Mask?

The County of Maui continues to strongly encourage everyone to wear a cloth face covering or mask whenever they have to leave the house.

The governor last week announced that all customers of essential businesses must wear a mask; and all employees of essential businesses who have any contact with customers or goods for purchase must wear a mask.

Volunteer Week – Maui County

This week is National Volunteer Week.  To get involved, the public can visit HandsOnMaui.com and register as a volunteer.

The County of Maui Volunteer Center’s website provides a list of volunteer opportunities in which individuals can start helping right away, including virtual and physical opportunities.

Click on COVID-19 Response for opportunities that include: Maui Face Mask Project, Feed My Sheep, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Maui, Grow Some Good and Food Donation sites on April 23 to 25.
