Lānaʻi food distribution. PC: Timothy Lara

A produce distribution will take place on Lānaʻi on Wednesday, May 6, to provide produce to people in need impacted by COVID-19.

Produce distribution for the general public will take place from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the County parking lot located between the County gym and school cafeteria.

Bags will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.

“Mahalo to Councilmember Riki Hokama, Denise Fernandez from the Lānaʻi County Council District Office, Dave Embry and the farmers on Lānaʻi, and Kris Kahihikolo from the Lānaʻi Senior Center, for helping with these distribution events,” said Maui Mayor Michael Victorino in making the announcement. “Thank you also to the Department of Parks and Recreation and Police Department for their continued assistance.”
