Maui Crime May 3 to May 9: Burglaries, Break-ins, Thefts

Maui police responded to 10 burglaries, 5 vehicle thefts and 10 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period from May 3 to May 9, 2020.

Burglaries increased 25 percent from the week before, when 8 incidents were reported. Vehicle thefts rose 25 percent from the week before when 4 incidents were reported; and vehicle break-ins increased 100 percent from the previous week, when 5 incidents were reported.

10 Burglaries

Haʻikū: 

  • Monday, May 4, 5:36 p.m.: 100 Block of Kapuaʻi Rd., Haʻikū. Residential, forced entry.
  • Thursday, May 7, 12:51 p.m.: 200 Block of N Honokala Rd., Haʻikū. Dwelling in civil defense emergency/disaster period.

Kahului: 

  • Friday, May 8, 1:23 a.m.: 250 Alamaha St., Kahului at Pace Supply. Dwelling in civil defense emergency/disaster period.
