Swell Summary
A series of large north to northwest swells will impact the state through the weekend. A new northwest swell builds into the region today and will peak above warning levels. A brief overlapping northerly swell will also arrive tonight, peaking on Friday. Warning level surf for north and west facing shores of the smaller islands today and tonight will decrease to advisory levels by Friday. An extra large northwest swell will build Friday evening and peak on Saturday, producing surf well above warning thresholds. Surf will likely remain well above warning levels through the weekend. Another extra large northwest swell is forecast to build into Hawaii waters Monday. As this northwest swell diminishes, another north swell builds into Hawaiian waters through Wednesday.
