Subaru Hawaiʻi Donates $50,000 to Local Nonprofits

Subaru Hawaiʻi has donated $50,000 to local nonprofits across the State of Hawaiʻi during its 10th annual “Share the Love Sales Event” campaign.
For every car sold in November and December 2020, new customers were able to designate $250 donated by Subaru Hawaiʻi to one of four charitable causes.
Local beneficiaries were chosen that represented areas in which the brand is committed to making a difference: pets, the environment and helping people in need.
As part of its Subaru Hawaiʻi Loves The Earth Love Promise, Haleakalā Conservancy on Maui and Friends of Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park each received $5,000.
“We are so grateful to these organizations and the work that they do to care for our kupuna, pets, and environment,” said Peter Dames, executive vice president, Subaru Hawaiʻi.
“Haleakala Conservancy is thrilled to be the local recipient for Subaru Hawaiʻi’s Share the Love campaign, and are grateful to the company and their generous customers for supporting the local and national treasure that is Haleakalā National Park,” Executive Director Olena Alec said. “These funds will help us to begin our work of providing additional resources for projects in conservation, preservation and education within the Park.”
A total of five local nonprofits were chosen to be a part of the 2020 Share the Love Sales Event. Hawaii Meals on Wheels received $20,000; O‘ahu SPCA received $10,000; Make-A-Wish Hawai‘i received $10,000; and 5,000 to each National Park. Over the past 10 years, Subaru Hawaiʻi has donated more than $290,000 to local nonprofits.
