If COVID has taught us something, it has perhaps motivated you to get your estate in order for how you hold your real estate property.

If you want to get your trust created and change the title of your property into a trust, you will hire an attorney.

If you already have a trust, you will then get to hire a Hawai’i real estate attorney so that he can draft up the new deed. You will contact your title company to get a copy of the old deed to give to the attorney to know how it was held, so he/she can change to how it will be held. When you sign off on that deed with a mobile notary, a bank, a title company or the attorney, be sure that the form of identification that you bring with you matches the name on the deed.
