Maui Crime Sept. 19-25, 2021: Burglaries, Break-ins, Thefts

Maui police responded to six burglaries, 14 vehicle thefts and 16 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period from Sept. 19 to 25, 2021.

The percentage of burglary cases decreased 14% from the week before when seven incidents were reported. Vehicle thefts increased 17% from the week before when 12 incidents were also reported. Vehicle break-ins decreased 11% from the week before when 18 incidents were reported.

6 Burglaries

Hāna:

• Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1:45 p.m.: 5091 Uakea Road, Hāna at Hāna Ball Park. Non-residential, forced entry.
• Tuesday, Sept. 21, 8:54 p.m.: 5091 Uakea Road, Hāna at Hāna Ball Park. Non-residential, forced entry.

Lahaina:

• Thursday, Sept. 23, 1:03 a.m.: 724 Front St., Lahaina at ABC Stores 724 Front St. #42. Non-residential, forced entry.

Nāpili:

• Sunday, Sept. 19, 6:11 p.m.: 3000 block of Lower Honoapiʻilani Road, Nāpili. Residential, unlawful entry.

Wailuku:

• Wednesday, Sept. 22, 7:36 p.m.: 2010 Main St., Wailuku. Non-residential, unlawful entry.
