Lineup change: April 2 concert will now feature Maui debut of Devon Allman Project
The Maui Arts & Cultural Center announced a lineup change for the previously announced Allman Betts Band concert on April 2, 2022.
The concert which will now feature the Maui debut of the Devon Allman Project in the Castle Theater Saturday, April 2 at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets already purchased for the Allman Betts Band (Devon Allman & Duane Betts) concert will be honored. As with the original concert, there will be a dance floor for all orchestra level ticketed patrons.
The Devon Allman Project is a six piece world-class band that has previously toured almost 20 countries. The band has played the Peach Festival, Rock Legends Cruise and festivals in Europe and in US venues coast to coast.
The band is led by Blues Music Award winning Devon Allman and features the two Allman Betts Band drummers, bass, Hammond B3 organ and piano and another guitarist. They will be playing songs of The Allman Brothers and Gregg Allman in their set as well as Devon’s fan favorite originals and surprise covers.
For nearly four decades Donavon Frankenreiter has been travelling the globe, first as a professional surfer and now as a musician. Born in Southern California, Donavon spent most of his youth chasing waves, turning pro at the age of 16. These days instead of surf competitions, it is concert halls that brings Frankenreiter to town, where he entertains audiences with his unique blend of laid-back grooves, philosophical lyrics and a soulful delivery.
Tickets are $15, $35, $50, $65, $85 plus applicable fees. MACC members receive a 10% discount except for the $15 tickets. In consideration of touchless COVID precautions, tickets are only available online. Ticket purchases can be made at MauiArts.org.
