Rotary District 5000 has announced the induction of Ted Faigle as new district governor for the 2024-2025 Rotary year. Faigle will oversee over 50 Rotary and Rotaract clubs across the state of Hawaiʻi, encompassing approximately 1,500 volunteers.

A member and past president of the Rotary Club of Poʻipū Beach, Faigle brings extensive rotary experience, including roles such as chief of staff, assistant governor for Kaua‘i, and district social media chair. He is also a graduate of the District 5000 Leadership Academy.

An installation ceremony to induct Faigle was held June 30 at the Kaua‘i Museum, marking the beginning of his leadership, effective from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025.

“Ted’s leadership and dedication to service make him the perfect choice to guide our district forward,” said outgoing District Governor Mark Merriam from the Rotary Club of Metropolitan Honolulu. “I am confident that under his stewardship, we will continue to grow and make a positive impact in our communities.”

As district governor, Faigle is an officer of Rotary International, responsible for operations of the district. He also inspires, trains, and supports club leaders to expand Rotary’s reach, enhance the member experience, and amplify the impact of service projects both locally in Hawai’i and globally.

“I am honored to serve as District Governor and excited to work with our clubs to expand our reach and strengthen our service efforts locally and globally,” said Faigle. “Together, we can achieve great things and continue to support our communities in meaningful ways.”
