Central East Maui suffers first loss in Little League World Series, 3-2 vs. Nevada; Maui to play Tuesday against Pennsylvania

The Central East Maui All-Stars lost their third game in the Little League World Series on Friday with a 3-2 loss against Paseo Verde Little League of Henderson, Nevada, the Mountain regional team.  They are now 2-1 for the series.

The Maui 12U boys move on to Game 26 at 9 a.m. HST (3 p.m. ET) on Tuesday, Aug. 20 against Council Rock Newtown Little League of Pennsylvania (the Mid-Atlantic regional team).

The Maui 12U boys secured their spot in the Little League World Series after winning the West Region title last week.  The 2024 Little League World Series, presented by T-Mobile, runs from Aug. 14 to 25 at Lamande Stadium in Williamsport, Pa.  Itʻs only the second time that a Maui teamin the majors division has made it this far.  The last time was in 2019.

In order to play for the championship, the Maui boys must win on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
