Vehicles Thefts on Maui Nov. 20 to 26, 2011

There were 10 vehicle thefts on Maui in the seven day period between November 20 and 26, 2011.

Four of the incidents were in Kihei. The rest of the car thefts were spread throughout the island with individual incidents reported in Haiku, Kahului, Lahaina, Napili, Waiehu and Wailea.

Four of the vehicles stolen have since been recovered.

The types of vehicles taken included four cars, two motorcycles, two mopeds, and two dirt bikes.

Haiku:

  • Friday, 11/25/11, 12:20 a.m.: Haiku Road at the Haiku Marketplace. 2002 Brown Dodge Ram-2500. RECOVERED.

Kahului:

  • Friday, 11/25/11, 6:30 p.m.: Kaahumanu Avenu at the Queen Kaahumanu Center. 1994 Silver Honda Accord. RECOVERED.

Kihei:

  • Saturday, 11/26/11, 7:30 p.m.: South Kihei Road at the Paradise Gardens Apartments parking lot. 2002 White Suzuki Motorcycle, Lic #: 164XJN.
  • Sunday, 11/20/11, 9 p.m.: Waipahe Street. 2012 Green Kawasaki motorcycle, Vin#: JKALXMT18CDA10984.
  • Monday, 11/21/11, 2:10 p.m.: Liloa Drive at Lokelani Intermediate School. 2004 Silver Kia Sedona. RECOVERED.
  • Tuesday, 11/22/11, 11:50 a.m.: South Kihei Road at Foodland. 2011 Black Zhejiang Zingfu moped, Lic#: M 60910.

  • Friday, 11/25/11, 10:45 a.m.: Shaw Street at the Salvation Army. 2008 Silver Zhejiang Xingfu moped. RECOVERED.

Napili:

  • Sunday, 11/20/11, 11 p.m.: Lower Honoapiilani Road at Pohailani. 2004 Blue Suzuki, CR-200 Dirt Bike, Lic#: 647MVH.

Waiehu:

  • Friday, 11/25/11, 3 a.m.: Aukai Street. 2004 Orange KTM Dirt bike, Lic#: 858MVH.

Wailea:

  • Thursday, 11/24/11, 11 p.m.: Kaapuni Place, vacant lot. 2005 Silver Dodge. RECOVERED.
