Motorists urged to use caution during Saturday’s Visitor Industry Charity Walk

Motorists are advised to exercise additional caution during the 46th Annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk Maui, taking place on Saturday, May 10, 2025, starting at 8 a.m. in Central Maui. 

There will be a larger than usual number of pedestrians along the Charity Walk route.

The route includes Halia Nakoa Street, Kanaloa Avenue, Keōpūolani Parkway, Wahine Piʻo Avenue, and Kaʻahumanu Avenue.  Event participants are expected to be finished walking by around 9:30 a.m.

The Charity Walk, founded in 1974 and expanded statewide in 1978, is now Hawaiʻi’s largest single-day fundraising event by a nonprofit organization. Since its inception, more than $42.8 million has been raised to support hundreds of local charities throughout the state.
