Update: Haleakalā National Park Summit District, Kīpahulu section remains closed

Due to road repairs following the weekend kona storm, both districts of Haleakalā National Park will remain closed until further notice. For updates on park conditions visit www.nps.gov/hale

The Kīpahulu District of Haleakalā National Park remains closed to the public until the highway from Hāna to  Kīpahulu is reopened by the County/State. The Summit District will also remain closed until further notice.

Sliding Sands Trail, Palikū visitor cabin and Kapalaoa visitor cabin will remain closed until they can be assessed/repaired.
