Forecasters say winds will be southerly, blowing at 15 to 20 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph.

The winds are expected to be the strongest across north and east sections of the islands, enhanced in down-slope areas.

Forecasters with the NWS say winds will peak early this afternoon, then begin to diminish by evening.
