Community invited to celebrate the Maui County Veterans Council’s Second Annual Patriotic Luncheon

The nonprofit Maui County Veterans Council (MCVC) invites the community to its Second Annual Patriotic Community Luncheon on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the Rainbow Ballroom at Maui Beach Hotel, 170 W. Kaʻahumanu Avenue in Kahului.
Celebrating America’s 250th birthday, this year’s “Bring on the ’90s!” theme invites guests to dust off their favorite ’90s attire for an afternoon of fellowship, patriotic entertainment, a silent auction, live auction and Best Dressed ’90s Contest. Veterans, military families and the entire community are welcome.
Founded on June 14, 1988, the Maui County Veterans Council is a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring military service, supporting veterans and their families, and promoting patriotism throughout Maui County. Now celebrating 38 years of service, the Council carries out its mission through remembrance ceremonies, veteran outreach, educational programs and community events.
“This luncheon is about bringing our community together to support our veterans and show them how much we appreciate their service,” said MCVC President Chelsea Fernandez. “Last year’s celebration was a great success, and this year we’re bringing on the ’90s and inviting veterans of every generation to join us. Come share stories, reconnect with old friends, meet some of our living heroes and have some fun. And don’t forget the ’90s attire—we’ll have prizes for the best-dressed man and woman.”
All proceeds support Maui County Veterans Council programs serving veterans and their families. Tickets are $40 for veterans, $45 for active-duty military and spouses, and $60 for community supporters. Unable to attend? Donations are always welcome and directly support the Council’s programs and mission.
