Young Brothers updates operations for Hawaiʻi ports that may be affected by Lala

Young Brothers is working closely with the US Coast Guard and State departments to monitor the incoming Tropical Storm Lala closely and provide updates on its operations at each port of call throughout Hawaiʻi as they may be affected by the storm.
Sailing Schedule Updates
Honolulu to Nāwiliwili and Kahului, Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026
- There are no changes to these sailings.
- The Port of Honolulu will accept refrigerated and hazardous straight-load cargo.
Honolulu to Kawaihae, Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026 — canceled
- The Coast Guard is closing the port of Kawaihae today, Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026, at 8 p.m. today to all inbound traffic and tomorrow, Friday, Aug. 14, 2026, at 8 a.m. tomorrow to all outbound traffic. The port will be conducting storm preparation at the port for the safety of your cargo.
- The port will be open on Friday, Aug. 14, 2026, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for the pickup of all dry straighload and palletized cargo.
- There is NO acceptance for refrigerated cargo, hazardous cargo, or livestock at this time.
- The next sailing to Kawaihae will be our regularly scheduled sailing, departing on Monday, Aug. 17, 2026, and arriving on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2026.
