State alerts public about recall of Outshine Fruit Bars from Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream
Hawai‘i Department of Health Food and Drug Branch alerts residents about a recall issued by Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream for select flavors and package sizes of its Outshine Fruit Bars.

The recall applies to 6-count, 2.5-ounce packages of the following flavors:
- Strawberry.
- Watermelon.
- Grape.
- Black Cherry.
- Tangerine.
It also includes the 24-count, 2.5-ounce Variety Pack Fruit Bars.
Dreyer’s issued the recall because of possible glass contamination, which can cause injury if consumed.
Recalled products were distributed nationally, including at Times/Don Quijote, KTA Super Stores, Walmart, Target and other retailers in Hawaiʻi.
Food and Drug Branch officials are working with the local stores to ensure recalled products are no longer available for sale. Recalled products can be identified by batch code, best before date and UPC printed on the bottom of the package.

Dreyer’s says there have been no reported cases of injury or illness to date.
Consumers are advised to first verify if they purchased recalled products. If they did, they should dispose of or return the recalled products to the retailer where they purchased them for a full refund.
Anyone concerned about potential injury should contact their healthcare provider immediately.
No other Outshine Fruit Bars products or varieties are under recall.
