The Oskie Rice Event Center will host the Oskie Rice Memorial Rodeo 2026 from Oct. 23-25, marking the 110th anniversary of Kaonoulu Ranch, according to event organizers. This year’s rodeo is being held in conjunction with the Festivals of Aloha celebrations.

The rodeo celebrates Hawaiian culture, paniolo heritage and rodeo tradition. It’s is open to the public.

Kaonoulu Ranch was purchased in August 1916 by Harold W. “Pop” Rice and has since become a foundational site for Maui’s rodeo tradition, according to the event center. The ranch has hosted rodeo events for over a century, and organizers said it remains the heart of the local ranching and rodeo community.

The event is intended to educate residents and visitors about Hawaiʻi’s ranching history and the skills still used on working ranches across the islands. This year’s rodeo will also include cultural demonstrations and Hawaiian music as part of the Festivals of Aloha programming, along with hands-on activities and exhibits.
