Maui Diagnostic Imaging expands imaging services with new CT technology, MRI upgrades

Maui Diagnostic Imaging announced several new technology upgrades and services for patients on Maui.

The facilitie’s SOMATOM go. Top CT scanner offers advanced imaging technology, improved image quality, efficient scanning, and dose-management features designed to help optimize patient care. 

With the new CT scanner, MDI also offers Cardiac Calcium Scoring, a quick, non-invasive CT examination that measures calcified plaque in the coronary arteries and can provide physicians with additional information when evaluating cardiovascular risk.

With the new MR30 Software Upgrade GE 3T MRI patients can expect enhanced capabilities and faster scan times. The upgrade is designed to improve image quality, streamline workflow, and reduce the time patients spend in the MRI scanner while supporting a wide range of examinations. 

In addition, MDI now offers GE DEXA Whole Body Composition Testing that measure fat mass, lean muscle mass, and other health assessments. These exams can help establish a baseline, track changes over time, and provide patients with valuable insights to better understand and achieve their overall health and wellness goals.
