Queen Kaʻahumanu Center announces “FANCON Maui’s Premier Gaming Fair,” Sept. 12

Queen Kaʻahumanu Center welcomes Maui’s gamers, fans, families, and curious newcomers to experience “FANCON Maui’s Premier Gaming Fair” and explore this new signature event debuting on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, from 2:00 to 8 p.m.

From game experts, collectors, and long-time players in various categories – to families looking for something new to experience together – FANCON is a free event for all ages celebrating the creativity, connection, and community building that can be found across gaming and fan culture. 

Guests can explore a variety of gaming types and interests, including board games, role playing games, trading card games, esports video games, miniature gaming and painting, cosplay, and more. The event will also feature live entertainment, demonstrations, crafts, hands-on activities, interactions with local gaming enthusiasts/experts, and exciting giveaways throughout the day.

As part of the celebration, there will be free face painting and balloon twisting from 2 to 4 p.m., a complimentary crown-making activity with HouseMart Ben Franklin Crafts (while supplies last), and a limited number of tote bags in Center Court to start the event. Free digital photos at the Queen Ka’ahumanu Center Photo Wall by the stage will also be available during the event.

From 3 to 6 p.m., enjoy a Dungeons & Dragons demonstration on stage from Free Range Comedy, followed by the fan favorite Queen Ka’ahumanu Center event from 6 to 8 p.m. – Bingo with prizes! Be sure to follow the red balloon markers to find Board Games, Esports, etc.
