The Construction Industry of Maui’s Fourth Annual Golf Tournament raises nearly $60,000

The Construction Industry of Maui today announced that its annual golf tournament raised nearly $60K to support construction vocational programs in Maui County. Held at The Dunes at Maui Lani Golf Course on Sept. 19, the event brought together golfers, students and teachers from Maui County high schools, and numerous volunteers for a day of community spirit and support for the next generation of construction industry leaders.

CIM’s mission is to develop and support the skilled workforce essential to Maui’s construction industry. Central to this effort is inspiring and guiding local students toward rewarding careers in this vital field. Proceeds from the tournament will support vocational construction programs throughout Maui County, helping cultivate the next generation of construction professionals.

Maui County high schools and vocational programs will be invited to apply for funding through a formal application, announced on the CIM website alongside notifications from the Hawaii State Department of Education in March 2027. Funds will be distributed to programs that demonstrate the greatest need and ability to impact students’ education and career readiness in construction trades.

Funds raised directly support vocational programs that introduce students to careers in the construction trades and help build a strong, sustainable workforce for our community’s future.”
