Ticket Sales Begin For Comedian Russell Peters

Tickets are on sale (as of 10 a.m. Friday, April 27) for a special Maui show from one of America’s most popular comedians/actors – Russell Peters.

You may have seen Toronto-born Peters performing alongside other famous North-American comics Dave Chapelle, Dane Cook, George Carlin, Tracy Morgan and Lewis Black, among many others.

Peters is known for his prowess in observational comedy and side-splitting impersonations. In 2009 and 2010 he was ranked by Forbes as one of the top 10 highest-grossing comedians in the US.

Peters has also appeared on several shows and networks including Comedy Central, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Showtime, HBO, and MTV.

The Maui show date is set for Friday, October 26 at 8 p.m. at the MACC, where Peters will perform part of his 2012 “Notorious World Tour” for island fans.

Some of Peters’ other accomplishments include hosting Showtime’s Comic’s Without Borders and Russell Peters Presents as well as his appearance in the recent film Source Code starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Vera Farmiga, and Jeffery Wright.

Tickets are expected to sell out quickly for Peters’ October show at the MACC, as they have for nearly every other performance he has given at famed venues like Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, The Nokia Theatre in LA, Sydney Opera House, and London’s O2 Arena.

Tickets can be purchased as of April 27 at 10 a.m. for $29.50 (general), $45 (reserved seats), and $65 (premium seats and table) by calling the MACC Box Office at 242-SHOW or online at MauiArts.org.
