BRIEF: Kaupakalua Now OPEN After Tree Removal

Kaupakalua Road is now OPEN. The road was closed at around 5:45 this morning due to a large tree that had fallen down. The road has since been cleared and police reopened the road at 9:20 a.m.

There is a temporary road closure on Kaupakalua Road that went into effect at 5:45 this morning due to a downed tree.

The closure is on Kaupakalua Road between Kaiapo Road and Kawelo Road.

Crews from the County Public Works Department are working to clear the road while workers from Maui Electric Company and Hawaiian Telcom are on scene to reconnect power and telephone lines.
