By Wendy Osher
Maui police are investigating the discovery of a woman’s body found on the grounds of the Kahana Manor condominium complex early Thursday morning as an unattended death.
Police responded to the West Maui incident at 4:04 a.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2012.
According to police the woman was found about 20 minutes earlier by individuals who thought she may be sleeping. A resident manager responded to check and discovered that the woman was unresponsive, police said.
Police say the woman was 40 years old and a resident of the condominium complex where the incident was reported.
Authorities say there is nothing to suggest foul play. An autopsy is scheduled for today to determine the exact cause of death.
