Maui AIDS Foundation Hosts Awareness Events

In support of World AIDS Day, which takes place on December 1, Maui AIDS Foundation will host two events: Dine Out For AIDS and World AIDS Day.
The Dine Out For AIDS event will run from November 26 to 28 at Leoda’s Kitchen and Pie Shop, Casanova’s, and Ocean’s Beach Bar and Grill. The three restaurants will donate 15% of proceeds for on select nights to the Maui AIDS Foundation.
Customers are reminded to be sure to mention that they are dining out for Maui AIDS Foundation when they order. Specific times and locations for the event are as follows:
- Leoda’s Kitchen and Pie Shop – Monday, November 26 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Casanova – Tuesday, November 27 from 5 to 9 p.m.
- Ocean’s Bar and Grill – Wednesday, November 28 from 6 to 10 p.m.
World AIDS Day, will be observed on Saturday, December 1 in support of the fight against HIV/AIDS. The event includes a commemoration, a Ti Leaf Circle, and performances by Merika Hunter and Jessica Rabbitt & Kanoa.
The event will run from 5 to 8 p.m. at Gannon’s in Wailea, located at 100 Wailea Golf Course Drive.
This free community event is open to all ages and includes complementary pupu’s and a no host bar.
World AIDS Day brings together people from around the world to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and demonstrate international solidarity in the face of the pandemic. The day is an opportunity raise awareness of the global impact of HIV/AIDS and to encourage progress in HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment.
The mission of Maui AIDS Foundation is to enhance the quality of life for those living with HIV/AIDS; to stop the spread of HIV infection; and to advocate for improved HIV/AIDS services.
