Haleakalā National Park hosts a public meeting tonight (November 21, 2012) in the Kīpahulu region of the park in East Maui.

The community meeting runs from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Kalena Triangle in Kīpahulu.

The public is invited to attend to meet park staff, learn more about the park, and follow-up on previously discussed topics.

Topics to be discussed include: introduction of the new Chief of Interpretation, Polly Angelakis; review the new park management organization; overview of updates on the Commercial Services Plan and the Kīpahulu Comprehensive Site Plan; and discussion on new matters.
