Paul Brewbaker Delivers Maui Economic Outlook 2013

Paul H. Brewbaker, former chief economist for the Bank of Hawaii, will deliver “Small Business and Maui’s Economic Outlook” to members of the Maui Business Brainstormers and Maui Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce at the Fairmont Kea Lani on Feb. 8.
Brewbaker will share his economic predictions and knowledge of the economy on a local and national level for the next 12 months. Attendees will also learn how his economic outlook may impact or enhance their business and marketing strategies.
Brewbaker is well-known in the Maui business community as the former chief economist of the Bank of Hawaii. For more than 25 years, he gave regular economic outlook presentations before organizations such as the Maui Chamber of Commerce. Currently, Brewbaker is the principal at TZ Economics, an economics consultancy.
He is a graduate of Stanford University and received his PhD from the University of Hawai’i, both in economics. He also did graduate work and lectured at the University of Wisconsin, and is a lecturer at the University of Hawai’i. Brewbaker is a member of the American Economic Association, the American Finance Association, and the National Association for Business Economics. He is a also director of the Hawai’i Economic Association.

The event is set for February 8 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Fairmont Kea Lani. Admission is $15, with advance online RSVP. No admission at the door. Seating is limited to 150 (classroom style).
