Governor Neil Abercrombie and Health Director Loretta Fuddy will unveil the state’s new multi-media obesity prevention campaign that features ads for theater, television and print.

Students from Island Pacific Academy helped focus-test the ad concepts and will be present during today’s special premiere event at the State Capitol.

The state campaign is part of a comprehensive strategy to reverse increasing obesity rates among Hawaii youth.

Details of the program will be released during the unveiling event this afternoon.
