A wind advisory was issued for the summit area of Haleakalā today for sustained winds of 30 mph and gusts of at least 50 mph expected through 6 p.m on Saturday.

Forecasters from the National Weather Service say winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
