Nov. 28, 2021 COVID-19 Update: 169 New Cases, 3 Deaths

Of today’s 169 cases, there were 119 cases identified as confirmed, and +50 probable cases were added to the count.  The confirmed cases included: 66 on O‘ahu (+41 probable); 13 on Hawai‘i Island (+9 probable); 12 on Maui (-2 probable); eight on Kaua‘i (+2 probable); and 20 Hawai‘i residents diagnosed while out of state.

Nov. 27, 2021 COVID-19 Update: 135 New Cases

Of today’s 135 cases, there were 137 cases identified as confirmed, and -2 probable cases were removed from the count.  The confirmed cases included: 62 on O‘ahu (-2 probable); 24 on Hawai‘i Island (-1 probable); 22 on Maui; 27 on Kaua‘i; and two Hawai‘i residents diagnosed while out of state (+1 probable).

In Maui County, the seven day average for new cases daily is 14, with a 1.6% test positivity rate over 14 days. This is +8% from Nov. 11 to Nov. 24, 2021. For every 100,000 residents in Maui County, there have been an average of 8.6 newly reported cases per day over the last seven days.

In Maui County, the seven day average for new cases daily is 17, with a 1.9% test positivity rate over 14 days. This is +39% from Nov. 10 to Nov. 23, 2021. For every 100,000 residents in Maui County, there have been an average of 10.2 newly reported cases per day over the last seven days.

In Maui County, the seven day average for new cases daily is 17, with a 1.6% test positivity rate over 14 days. This is +38% from Nov. 9 to Nov. 22, 2021. For every 100,000 residents in Maui County, there have been an average of 10.0 newly reported cases per day over the last seven days.

Next COVID-19 Measures Shift Back to Counties on Dec. 1

Both Honolulu Mayor Rick Blangiardi and Maui Mayor Michael Victorino said they would be getting rid of the six-foot distancing rule currently in place for restaurants, allowing eateries to resume full capacity for dining indoors, starting Dec. 1, 2021. Mayor Victorino said indoor dining is still limited to those who show proof of vaccination or testing as is currently the case.

In Maui County, the seven day average for new cases daily is 15, with a 1.5% test positivity rate over 14 days. This is +25% from Nov. 8 to Nov. 21, 2021. For every 100,000 residents in Maui County, there have been an average of 9.2 newly reported cases per day over the last seven days.

Booster Eligibility Expands for Adults in Hawai‘i

Effective immediately all adults age 18 and older who completed their primary mRNA vaccinations of Pfizer or Moderna at least six months ago are eligible for boosters.
