The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua has announced it will host Jazz & Blues Nights every Thursday in January 2026.

Makawao’s Viewpoints Gallery will host a series of free art classes and lectures throughout January as part of its “Luminosity” show, which is based on the work of artist and educator Dick Nelson.

The 2026 honorees — Billy Bergin, DVM, Kumu Hula Māpuana de Silva, Jim and Vickie Kennedy, Sheree Tamura, and Bruce Ka‘imiloa Chrisman, MD — will be celebrated at the 51st Living Treasures of Hawaiʻi luncheon on Feb. 21, 2026, at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Coral Ballroom.

There will be two public aerial fireworks displays in Maui County this year — one from the Grand Wailea Resort in South Maui, and the other from the Four Seasons Resort Lānaʻi at Mānele Bay. Both shows begin at approximately 11:59 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, 2025.

A powerful new recording of the 19th-century Hawaiian mele “E Hoʻi ka Nani i Mokuʻula” is now available, performed by  Keʻeaumoku Kapu and Uʻilani Kapu and created as part of the forthcoming  documentary film Ea.
