ReTree Hawaiʻi is hosting a statewide tree planting campaign in November, with 56 organizations and 21 sites already signed up to participate.

Statewide Tree Planting Initiative Aims to Make Hawai‘i More Resilient to Climate Change

Individuals, organizations and counties are planting trees across the state on Oct. 30, 2020. The goal is to plant 100,000 trees, with 10,000 volunteers, on 1,000 sites in an effort to reduce the effects of climate change and beautify our islands.

Sierra Club Maui to Honor Long-Time Community Activists

Sierra Club Maui will award​ its life-time achievement Onipaʻa Award to Stan Franco​ Kai Nishiki ​and Ananda Stone​. The organization will also introduce a new community coalition to address diversified use of former sugar cane lands on Maui.
