The latest County of Maui update as of 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 16, 2026 is posted here. At the directive of Gov. Josh Green, all County of Maui offices on Maui, Molokaʻi and Lānaʻi will be closed Monday, Aug. 17. Only essential personnel will report to work.

Closures of state camping, parks, lands and trails due to Lala
Maui forestry and wildlife lands were closed as of 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 14, 2026. Out of an abundance of caution for the safety of residents and visitors, the State Department of Land and Natural Resources had announced a list of closures of camping, parks, lands and trails.
