Mālama Maui Nui Launching ‘Get the Drift and Bag It’ Annual Cleanup Campaign

The nonprofit Mālama Maui Nui is launching “Get the Drift and Bag It!” — an annual cleanup campaign hosted in partnership with the Ocean Conservancy that seeks to empower Maui residents in their environmental stewardship of the island community. This year’s event will take place Sept. 1-18.

16 Tons of Rubbish Removed From Remote Molokaʻi Coastline

Volunteers and state agencies worked to remove 30 dump truck loads of rubbish from 22 miles of remote coastline on Molokaʻi during a cleanup effort this summer.

2014 “Get the Drift and Bag It” Beach Cleanup Begins

The event is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. this Saturday, Sept. 20, at two locations: Kaʻa Point by Kanahā Beach Park in Kahului; and the 10th Annual Lahaina Town Cleanup at Kamehameha Iki Park with cleanup extending along the coast from Puamana to Kāʻanapali.
