“The Art of Trash Exhibition and Trashion Shows are annual, juried events that inspire community members to reimagine our resources, such as previously used materials, as elements for creative inspiration. All pieces are original work made from recycled and/or reused material.

Community Work Day Program and Sharing Aloha present a creative but utilitarian art exhibit and fashion show at 6 p.m. on April 20 the Maui Mall – “The Art of Trash” 2012.

Paint is in turn offered for free to the public, schools, and non-profit organizations and is used for graffiti cleanups, beautification projects, and the annual “Paint-a-Can” program.

Drivers are urged to secure their load for safer roads by using cargo nets, bungees, tarps, sheets or rope.
