Maui hospital updates visitor policy due to rising COVID-19 positivity rates
Effective Sunday, May 22, 2022, the Maui hospital will allow one visitor per patient, per day for a maximum of two hours a day during the hours of 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Maui Health officials note that some units and/or patients may be closed to visitors at certain times.
39 COVID-19 Patients at Maui Hospital, Most COVID Admissions Since Pandemic Started
Maui Memorial Medical Center continues to experience an increase in COVID-19 positive admissions. Today, the Maui hospital is caring for 39 COVID-19 positive patients with seven in intensive care and four on a ventilator. Of these 39 patients, 51% are 59 years of age and younger.
