County office wins award for E Kūpaʻa Kākou, Hawaiian music series
The Maui County Office of Economic Development is the recipient of a national award for its launch and development of E Kūpaʻa Kākou, a Hawaiian Music Series honoring the strength of community.
Next E Kūpaʻa Kākou, March 25
The program features Maui Kumu Hula Hōkūlani Holt of Pāʻū O Hiʻiaka and Nā Kumu Hula ʻĀlika and Kehani Guerrero of Kaniʻoikaʻohuleihiwa. They will share hula, ʻoli and moʻolelo. The program host is Alakaʻi Paleka.
‘Best of the Best’ of E Kūpaʻa Kākou Hawaiian music series, Dec. 24
The “Best of the Best” of E Kūpaʻa Kākou Hawaiian music series, is set to be live-streamed at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve, Dec. 24. Some of the highlighted artists include Nā Wai ʻEhā, Amy Hanaialiʻi Gilliom and Kalani Peʻa.
Maui Hawaiian Music Series to Honor Strength of Community
E Kūpaʻa Kākou honors and celebrates the efforts of some of the 2020 Maui Nā Hoku Hanohano award nominees, accompanied by Maui hālau each Friday in September from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The series will be live streamed from the Maui Arts and Cultural Center. There will be no in-person audience and the public is encouraged to view the stream online.
