The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation is alerting motorists on Oʻahu of parking restrictions on Kamehameha Highway on O‘ahu’s North Shore in anticipation of the Eddie Aikau Big Wave Invitational on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2024.

Rip Curl to sponsor Eddie Aikau Big Wave Invitational

The Eddie Aikau Big Wave Invitational has secured a new sponsor. On Monday, Rip Curl broke the news of a brand new partnership with the competition ahead of the forthcoming event this winter—its 40th year at Waimea Bay, Oʻahu.

No Eddie and Jaws Contest with Slightly Smaller Swell

Huge swells didn’t quite materialize to the forecasted heights, but there were plenty of waves to go around. Two scheduled contests didn’t go ahead as well due to the iffy conditions on the forecasted big days.

A+ December And New Year Swells

Maui surfers prepare for two gigantic swells to end the year. The Eddie Aikau and RedBull Jaws Contest is set to go off as well with the massive waves on the way.
